In this episode of our Yoga for Arthritis video series, certified yoga instructor Julia McNally (The RA Yogi) guides viewers through a gentle yoga practice consisting of restorative yoga poses designed to be done from the comfort of your bed.
“This is a great routine for morning, bedtime or anytime you need self-care. Bed yoga is perfect for those flare days/high pain days or days when you just don’t have as much energy,” says Julia. “You can also do these exercises on a mat using supportive pillows, as I demonstrate in the video.”
This relaxing practice can help you greet the day, unwind or get ready for a restful sleep, or whenever you feel stress, anxiety or tension in the mind or body. Namaste!
