Floor yoga for arthritis

In our Yoga for Arthritis video series, certified yoga instructor Julia McNally (The RA Yogi) presents a variety of yoga exercises adapted for people living with arthritis and other mobility problems. Each yoga class consists of simple and gentle movements, including a warm-up, a series of poses and stretches, a cool-down and a final relaxation phase.

In this episode, Julia guides viewers through a floor yoga practice using supportive props to cushion sensitive joints and enhance comfort. Because some people might find sitting down on the floor challenging, Julia also demonstrates a safe way to get down to the floor and back up to standing, with a goal of increasing stability and confidence during this key functional movement.
