Help children with arthritis experience the joy of camp
For many young people in Canada, summer camp is a treasured rite of childhood. It’s a place where cherished memories are created, lifelong friendships are formed and valuable skills are learned.
For children in Canada who live with arthritis, however, summer camp is usually an experience they cannot take part in, as traditional summer camps can’t typically accommodate their needs. That’s where Arthritis Society Canada’s summer camp program comes in.
Across the country, thanks to the support of donors, Arthritis Society Canada hosts six camps for children living with arthritis every summer. Not only do campers enjoy the outdoors for a week, but they also get to connect with other kids just like them!
It costs approximately $2,500 to send one child to camp for a week of camp, which includes on-site medical teams, fully accessible facilities, and mobility supports. We are committed to offering camp at no cost to all families, no matter their financial situation.
Join us for a “party with a purpose” and help ensure that no child is left out of the campfire circle! Buy your ticket now and have a fabulous night to remember so that a child with arthritis has a special week of summer camp they’ll never forget!
