Fashion on Fire – 2024

"Fashion goes beyond fabric; it is the attempt to manifest art on a breathing canvas."
- David Dixon

runwayOur second annual Fashion on Fire event – held September 28, 2023 at Toronto Region Board of Trade – was a fabulous evening of fashion, cocktails, fun and philanthropy. Toronto’s corporate and fashion elite came together to enjoy delectable cocktails and marvel at stunning creations featured on the runway. For the red-hot finale, Canadian designer David Dixon’s arthritis-friendly capsule collection was showcased.

We are so grateful to Oliver & Bonacini for hosting us, David Dixon for his commitment to our cause and his incredible designs, Mana Mansour for emcee-ing the event, the models – many of whom live with arthritis – for their generous participation, and the 350 guests who made the evening a sizzling success. Special thanks to our fashion partners, Andrews, GotStyle, House of Dwir and Style Artist.

Keiko and AyaFashion on Fire draws on the power of fashion to promote the message that arthritis is not what you think it is. It’s not reserved only for older adults; it impacts 25,000 Canadian children. It’s not a mildly sore joint; it’s a chronic disease that takes a toll on all facets of a person’s life. It doesn’t impact a small number of people; six million Canadians live with the agonizing pain of arthritis, and nine million will confront it by 2040 if we don’t act now.

If you enjoyed Fashion on Fire and want to be part of an even bigger party with a purpose, join us November 4, 2023 at Toronto’s Fairmont Royal York for our second annual Arthritis Fire Ball™, a black-tie gala featuring a champagne reception, gourmet dinner, live and silent auction, casino, live band and dancing into the night. We would love to see you there! Purchase tickets now.
