Fashion on Fire Tickets

On Thursday, September 28, fashion and philanthropy intersect in a dazzling celebration to raise awareness of arthritis. Toronto’s corporate and fashion elite will come together at Fashion on Fire to enjoy delectable cocktails and marvel at stunning gowns featured on our runway. For the red-hot finale, Canadian designer David Dixon’s ravishing creations will be on full display. There will also be an opportunity to make a purchase or two at high-end pop-up shops!

Join us for this sparkling evening where we’ll douse the flames of arthritis with the power of fashion and promote the message that the disease is not what you think. It’s not reserved only for older adults; it touches 25,000 Canadian children. It’s not just a mildly sore joint; it’s a chronic disease that takes a toll on a person’s physical, mental, social and financial well-being. It’s not a small number of people who live with it; six million Canadians live with the scorching pain of arthritis, and nine million will confront it by 2040 if we don’t act now.

David Dixon

David Dixon

Canadian born designer David Dixon was trained and educated at Ryerson University (TMU). David Dixon enjoys tremendous media acclaim, standing out among his Canadian contemporaries as one of the leaders in fashion design.

In 1995, after an apprenticeship with Canadian designer Alfred Sung, Dixon established his own label. He started out at the Toronto Fashion Incubator, a highly respected training ground for up-and-coming new designers, and began manufacturing and wholesaling his own line in 1996.

Today, David Dixon’s designs are sold globally and cater to a sophisticated, smart and worldly client base. Dixon possesses a modernist openness towards emerging design while rejecting the notion of radical change from one fashion trend to another.

In David’s words, “Fashion goes beyond fabric; it is the attempt to manifest art onto a breathing canvas.”

At Fashion on Fire 2022, which attracted over 200 guests, we generated a sizzling $185,000 in earned and paid media, and the event was amplified to half a million followers and subscribers. The runwayTo make this year’s event a greater success, we’re calling on you to dust off your hottest look in an effort to extinguish arthritis for good.

Fashion on Fire is a pre-event to the Arthritis Fire Ball, a black-tie gala at the Fairmont Royal York on November 4, 2023. It will feature a champagne reception, gourmet dinner and high-stakes casino, as well as a live band to keep guests dancing into the night.
