Uncovering much-needed reprieve
One researcher we support is the University of Calgary’s Dr. Roman Krawetz, who is focused on improving treatment for osteoarthritis, the most common form of the disease. His team is targeting drugs that enhance joint lubrication and reduce cartilage damage to ease pain – a warming thought for the four million people in Canada living with osteoarthritis.
“For many people living with osteoarthritis, excruciating pain is the norm. It shouldn’t be. My team is working tirelessly to bring relief to the osteoarthritis community, but we need donor support. It could be the difference between a solution and more suffering.” –Dr. Roman Krawetz
Donate today to fund important work like Dr. Krawetz’s research, and to support the essential programs and resources we offer to the one in five people in Canada living with arthritis. Your gift will go three times as far if you give before the end of the year!
