Mary Pack Award Winners

The Arthritis Society couldn’t do what it does without its amazing volunteers. As we celebrate National Volunteer Week, we want to recognize the special recipients of this year’s Mary Pack Volunteer Award.

The award is presented to the most dedicated and inspirational volunteers and honours the contributions they have made to the Arthritis Society and the arthritis community. They are an opportunity for us to celebrate those who are true ambassadors of the Arthritis Society’s five core values: integrity, passionate commitment, spirted teamwork, bold innovation and courageous leadership.

“Volunteers are integral to our work at the Arthritis Society – from answering questions from people living with arthritis, to advocating to elected officials, to ensuring we’re able to host summer camps for children each year,” said Trish Barbato, President and CEO. “On behalf of myself, the Board of Directors, all staff, and those living with arthritis, I want to congratulate the award winners and thank all of our wonderful volunteers who are making a difference in the lives of the six million Canadians with arthritis.”

The theme of this year’s National Volunteer Week is The Value of One, The Power of Many, which reflects what can be achieved when individuals work together for a common purpose. The Arthritis Society’s founder, Mary Pack, embodied those ideals, as do the volunteers honoured with the award in her name today.

The year’s recipients of the Mary Pack Volunteer Award are:

  • Roxana
  • Angie
  • Oliver
