COVID-19 UPDATE

We miss our campers! We’ve started planning our 2022 camps and hope to welcome our campers back in-person. We continue to closely monitor provincial health guidelines for summer camps and will make adjustments to our plans based on government recommendations, always keeping the safety of our campers as our top priority.

At this point, we plan to open registration for our camps in the late winter, early spring.

We also encourage you to visit our Club Sunrise page to learn more about our virtual offerings for youth living with arthritis and other rheumatic diseases

We look forward to seeing you soon!

For thousands of Canadian children, summer camp is an opportunity to make friends, have fun outdoors, and develop wonderful memories. Unfortunately, children with arthritis are often unable to attend more traditional camps, which do not have the facilities, specialized health care staff, or the modified activities to accommodate their abilities.

Camping together with a common condition means that children feel understood and accepted. It allows them to be defined not by their disease, but by who they are. In addition to barrier-free, traditional camp activities, Arthritis Society camps provide important tools and resources related to positive self-esteem and effective disease management, facilitated by experienced counselors. On-site medical staff ensure that campers’ health needs are met.  This page provides further information about our camps located across the country.
