Can good nutrition, regular physical activity or even medical cannabis help in the management of arthritis and arthritis pain?    Find out at Arthritis Talks: Nourish and Flourish, the first of a four-part nation-wide symposia series on Saturday, May 4, 2019..
We've arranged for several, highly regarded experts in their field to present information during this half-day presentation and webcast which includes lunch.  
Our speakers include:

  • Brenda Tittlemier, Physiotherapist:  Managing arthritis pain, improving flexibility, fitness and your state of mind through physical activity.
  • Lalitha Taylor, Registered Dietician - Managing arthritis through nutrition
  • Rattan Panesar, MD - Accessing and using Medical Cannabis

Register for the live event in Calgary or Winnipeg, the viewing party nearest you or for the webcast presentation. There will be a hosted Question and Answer session following each presentation; in-person and online participants will be able to forward questions. After the shared Webcast, in-person attendees are invited to remain to hear a local inspirational speaker during lunch followed by a live educational speaker presentation in the afternoon.

In-person includes networking with health professionals and service providers through a Resource Fair.

Registration for the live events in Calgary and Winnipeg is $10 and is non-refundable. The viewing parties and online registration is free. Select the method of accessing the Symposium (in-person or online) during the registration process.

  • Lalitha Taylor, RD

    Photography of Lalitha Taylor, RDDiagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at 19, Lalitha Taylor’s quest to manage her own disease led her to become a registered dietician. Now a senior dietitian with Edmonton Southside Primary Care Network, she has been honoured with various local and national awards and is a former National Spokesperson for Dietitians of Canada and is deeply involved in nutrition education in her community.

  • Brenda Tittlemier, PT

    Photography of Brenda Tittlemier, PTA graduate of the University of Manitoba, Brenda worked as a physical therapist and clinical practice leader at the Stanton Territorial Hospital in Yellowknife, NT before returning to Manitoba in 2015 to obtain a Master’s degree. Her thesis involved physiotherapy as it pertains to osteoarthritis of the knee and continues to be interested in interventions that physiotherapists can offer to arthritis patients.

  • Rattan Panesar, MD

    Photography of Rattan Panesar, MDRattan Panesar MD is the Medical Director at CannaWay Clinic in Winnipeg, MB. With more than 10 years of experience in the medical field, Dr. Panesar brings a wealth of knowledge to the team, acting as the liaison between CannaWay and the medical community. Through CME sessions, presentations and other communication, Rattan educates medical professionals as well as patients on the uses and benefits of medical cannabis.

Bringing your ticket will speed up check in at the event;  however, it’s not required.
