An evening of glamour, inspiration and awareness in Vancouver

Arthritis Fire Ball Vancouver Ignites Change with Gala Supporting Women and Children

Unified in their mission to end the agony of arthritis, Arthritis Fire Ball Vancouver brought together a sold-out crowd of philanthropists and sponsors this past weekend. Together, they rallied to raise funds and awareness for over six million people across Canada living with arthritis, with an emphasis on women and children.

“In British Columbia, arthritis affects over three in 1,000 children and one in four women – with women bearing a disproportionate burden of the disease compared to men,” said Carleen Pauliuk, Vice
President Western Canada of Arthritis Society Canada. “By focusing resources to address their unique challenges, we will revolutionize arthritis diagnosis and treatment for women and children, advance maternal, neonatal and child health outcomes, and guarantee that care is tailored to the needs of diverse women.”

The energy of Arthritis Fire Ball Vancouver was nothing short of electric as guests immersed themselves in exciting auctions, an elevated cocktail reception, gourmet dinner, raffle draws and stories of inspiration and perseverance. The evening crescendo was a captivating performance by Juno award-winning vocal group and ambassadors of Arthritis Society Canada, The Tenors, followed by a lively casino afterparty.

The resounding success of Arthritis Fire Ball Vancouver was made possible by the unwavering support of its esteemed guests and dedicated sponsors, notably the presenting sponsor, Axis Insurance. Their commitment to building healthier communities has helped change the narrative around this misunderstood, debilitating disease, leaving a lasting impact on all who attended.
