An evening of gastronomic splendour and sensory delight raised $1.35 million

What a night! The first-ever Serein Properties Multisensory Star Chef Soirée dazzled guests with an unparalleled blend of culinary artistry and sensory experiences—all in support of Arthritis Society Canada. Together, we achieved an extraordinary milestone, raising an astounding $1.35 million to transform lives. Thank you for being part of this remarkable journey!

Our esteemed guests and partners travelled far and wide from British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, and even as far as California and Hong Kong to join us for an unparalleled culinary adventure featuring a specially curated menu by Chef Umberto Bombana, the renowned “King of Truffles” and the only Italian chef outside Italy with three Michelin stars. As attendees indulged in an eight-course Italian feast paired with rare, international wines not available in Canada from Marchesi di Barolo, they also embarked on a multisensory journey with immersive elements created by Normal Studio.

But the evening was about so much more than transcending our senses. It was about reaffirming a shared commitment: to create a future where every child in Canada living with arthritis can thrive without pain or limitations. This bold effort was only possible because of our foundational philanthropic partner, the presenting sponsor of this event, Serein Properties, and their remarkable generosity. Guided by their philosophy of human-centric design, Serein Properties shares our commitment to advancing innovation and creating lasting impact. Their support is a testament to the power of purpose-driven partnership and why Canada’s first-ever multisensory philanthropic dinner was such a resounding success.

A sincere thank you to our supportive partners who generously gave their time and resources to make this multisensory experience an unforgettable event, and to our incredible donors for the life-changing impact of your gifts. Your support will fund research and programs that will transform the lives of children living with arthritis, empowering them to reclaim their futures.

Together, we are crafting a legacy of hope and transformation for generations to come.

The impact

It is estimated that about three in 1,000 Canadian children have childhood arthritis, making it more common than most chronic childhood diseases, yet it still remains one of the most underfunded diseases.
