Special Events, Fundraising & Revenue Development

Volunteer LogoOur Programs and Digital Services volunteers live and breathe…it’s not “just” arthritis. This group of passionate individuals are committed to helping us reach at least three million Canadians each year with trusted information that empowers them to better manage their arthritis.

Programs and Digital Services volunteers are critical to our work. These roles include:

  • Arthritis Line: Provide information to callers who reach out to us via phone or email

  • Online Consumer Panelist: Provide feedback on our digital resources and other mission-related programming

  • Peer Listener: Lend a listening ear to callers requiring assistance and encouragement

  • Arthritis Talks: Teach attendees how to connect to our monthly webinars

  • Subject Matter Experts: Consult and provide evidence-based feedback on our digital offerings. These volunteers must be professionals and experts in the field of arthritis

  • Childhood arthritis programs: Plan and support families affected by arthritis through our Camp programs, Club Sunrise and parent events

Online Consumer Panels

Online Consumer Panelists share thoughts and feedback about living with arthritis that help to inform the many resources Arthritis Society Canada creates.

To join the Online Consumer Panels, volunteers must identify as a person living with arthritis, and be willing to participate through email and online activities. As an online consumer panelist, you will be asked to answer surveys, respond to emails, and occasionally participate in focus groups.

This volunteer opportunity is open to anyone in Canada living with arthritis. Since all activities take place online, you can live anywhere in the country and still participate. If this volunteer opportunity is something you would like to become involved in, please complete this application to let us know more about you, and your interest in joining the online consumer panels.

If your application is accepted, you’ll move on to the onboarding process, where our volunteer coordinator will connect with you to complete this process.

Since you may be involved in resource development, you will be asked to sign a confidentiality form acknowledging that information about new resources cannot be shared until it has been made public. This is to help make sure the information we share publicly is the most accurate version available.

Participants must be 18 years of age or older and reside in Canada.

Applications open until May 15, 2024.
