Steve Murphy
With a television and radio career spanning more than forty-five years, Steve Murphy is among Atlantic Canada’s best known broadcasters. Over the course of his career, he anchored thousands of newscasts and interviewed some of the most influential and interesting people of our time. He stepped down as anchor and executive editor of CTV News at Six in December 2021 and is now a special correspondent and commentator for the station. His previous works include Live At Five: The Story Behind Its Success and Before the Camera: An Autobiography.
Shaun Majumder
In a few short years, Gemini Award-winning actor/comedian Shaun Majumder has blossomed into one of Canada’s top comedians. As a former cast member on This Hour Has 22 Minutes, Majumder provided viewers with a volatile mix of parody, sketch comedy, and scathing editorial commentary. Equally at home on stage as he is in front of the camera, Majumder’s incessant wit never ceases to entertain.
Majumder is proud and honoured to have joined the prestigious list of comedians who have performed at the renowned Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal and hosted numerous CBC Just For Laughs television specials. His feature films include Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, The Ladies Man, Pushing Tin, Purpose, the Farrelly Brothers’ Fox comedy Unhitched, and Bob Funk.
