Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome/Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder Workshop

Registrants must have a valid Ontario Health Card

Have you been diagnosed with or suspect that you have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) or Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD)? Then you will benefit from attending this free virtual workshop, led by an Arthritis Society physiotherapist.

By attending this workshop, you will learn:

  • What is EDS and how is it different from HSD
  • How it is diagnosed with the new 2017 EDS classification criteria
  • The many strategies to help you to manage your EDS/HSD including posture; changing habitual positioning; braces; shoes/orthotics; and exercise
  • Info about POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) from special guest Leny Van Ryn, physiotherapist who conducts a POTS rehab program at the Ottawa Heart Institute
  • You will receive resources to further assist you in managing your EDS/HSD
