The Arthritis Society is proud to present a FREE weekend Family Camp for families affected by Childhood Arthritis. Kids aged 5-17 with a confirmed diagnosis of Childhood Arthritis and their immediate families are eligible to attend. Hosted at Camp Manitou in Headingley, MB from October 12-14, 2018, Family Camp is an opportunity for kids with arthritis to have a memorable camping experience in a supportive environment, alongside their families.

Along with the many fun activities campers enjoy, they will meet and share the experience with other families who have a child with childhood arthritis. The staff and volunteers are sensitive to the children’s special needs, factoring them into the schedule and programs. Activities will include nature-based arts & crafts, bannock making over a fire, orienteering and fun, family-oriented games.

Camp Manitou is a Summer Camp and Year Round Outdoor Recreation Facility operated by the Winnipeg Jets True North Foundation. The Camp Manitou property is a 28 acre oasis just outside of Winnipeg. With its forests, large grass playing field, and the Assiniboine River on three sides, the property provides lots of space in which to enjoy nature. Camp Manitou has an exceptional and experienced program staff who provide a safe and fun outdoor experience to meet the specific needs and interests of patrons.
