Speaker
A woman and mom surviving and thriving with Sjogren's, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia for over 20 years. Cristina Montoya is also a registered dietitian, holistic cannabis practitioner and certified cannabis educator. She is a member of the Arthritis Health Professionals Association and the Society of Cannabis Clinicians. Cristina has been a dietitian for more than fifteen years in Colombia and Ontario in various roles including research, clinical care, one-one-nutritional coaching and as a public speaker.
Cristina is passionate about empowering fellow arthritis patients to adopt a holistic anti-inflammatory lifestyle to reduce inflammation, pain and fatigue without unnecessary restrictions. She has been developing anti-inflammatory recipes for the Arthritis Society's Flourish program since 2020.
Her motto: "Don't let your chronic illness overshadow your inner beauty and life projects. Sure, you will need to make changes and adapt. These diseases also teach us to be more resilient and stronger individuals."
