Christine Basque

Executive Director, British Columbia & Yukon

Christine joined the Arthritis Society in September 2016, having been the Associate Vice-President of the BC Cancer Foundation, and is an incredibly respected and well-known colleague and pace-setter within the non-profit community.

Christine has a strong reputation in the arthritis community as well, having worked with The Society earlier in her career as Director of Development, as well as playing a similar role with the Arthritis Research Centre of Canada.

Christine brings an extensive career in leadership and fundraising, which includes serving as the Interim CEO with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation when there from 2007-2012.
Christine has always believed in being of service, and her body of work, both paid and volunteer, reflects this value.

As a volunteer, Christine has sat on the Board of Battered Women’s Support Services, and the Canadian Women’s Voters Congress, where she Co-Chaired the Women’s Campaign School.   Currently, she is on the Board of CETUS, a research and conservation society to protect the whales in our waters in British Columbia.

Christine's commitment and passion is evident in all that she does.  Her business acumen and inclusive style are strengthened further by her keen ability to infuse heart and her own personal warmth into her relationships, considerations and choices.
