Nova Scotia far from reaching hip and joint replacement targets

The Nova Scotia government won't come close to fulfilling its pledge in 2017 to meet the national standard for hip and knee replacement wait times. In October 2017, the Nova Scotia Health Authority pledged to hit the six-month benchmark by April 1, 2020.
Arthritis affects more than 1 in 4 Nova Scotians and is the cause of 80% of hip and 99% of knee replacements.Back to News
