Canadian lupus patients missing critical drug after claims it treats coronavirus

Chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine supplies are low due to coronavirus, causing concern for patients who rely on the drugs to treat conditions like lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. The Arthritis Society is working with governments to limit the extent to which arthritis patient care impacted by this shortage - and we are funding research to investigate whether these drugs can be effective for COVID-19 - and by using people already taking the medications, it won't put new strain on the supply for these drugs.Back to News
