Registration Update: We look forward to welcoming our campers back to our 4-night, 5-day overnight camp this summer! We continue to closely monitor provincial health guidelines for summer camps and will make adjustments to our plans based on government recommendations, always keeping the safety of our camps as our top priority. Registration for our Quebec camp will open February 1, 2024.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, there is no charge to attend the camp. However space is limited and certain eligibility requirements apply.

Important dates

For the 4500 young people in Quebec living with arthritis, pain, physiotherapy, constant medication and isolation caused by their disease represent a major part of their everyday life, including during summer holidays. In order to help these kids create positive and unforgettable summer memories, Arthritis Society Canada – Québec Division, in collaboration with its invaluable partners and the Montréal Children’s Hospital, offers them the chance to participate in the Kids on the Move Camp, run specifically for children living with rheumatic diseases.

The environment, activities, medical care and all other aspects of the camp are adapted to these kids’ specific needs. Everything is designed to allow them to live out the experience of the summer camp at its best - to flourish, to gain self-confidence and, finally, to share their experience with other children facing the same challenges.

Camp Activities

Each year, about 40 children ranging in age from 8 to 16 years old have the chance to live out a unique experience in a secure environment. They enjoy a full week of both physical and leisure activities adapted to their unique needs.

In addition to the open-air activities organized by the instructors at the camp (swimming, art & crafts, camp fires, etc.), the campers participate in many other activities such as painting, music, sports, lipdub or photo sessions, and much more. The campers do not have a minute to be bored!
