Contact your local Arthritis Society office. Our staff will guide you through the process, and help identify your skills or talents that may be beneficial to the cause. We will spend some time with you to discuss all of your options.
Yes. You should discuss your expectations with the volunteer coordinator so that both of you understand your requirements.
Yes. Many of our volunteer opportunities can be done outside of both the office and office hours. Many of our positions are out in the community or can be done virtually.
Volunteer time is based on many factors including the volunteer position being filled, your schedule, and The Society’s needs. Many positions are flexible. We are more concerned with you committing to your position and seeing it through to the end of your specified “contract”.
For example, you can volunteer at The Walk To Fight Arthritis once a year, or you can help us on a weekly basis. Sometimes your schedule requires you to come in and out of a position based on your circumstances and this can be discussed at interview.
We provide all volunteers with the necessary training and tools to fulfill their responsibilities. Feel free to ask questions at any time.
