We don’t know if it’s the snow melting or nature coming back to life, but the season seems to have given our fundraisers wings. On March 25, Art & Beat in Granby marked the most successful edition since the beginning of the event three years ago. Our entertainers, partners and organizing committee gave it their all, and their efforts paid off with a total of $60,500 raised. Thanks, Granby residents, for your generosity!
The 11th edition of the Bon goût à l’œuvre event held on March 30 was also a huge success, with prominent guests such as Minister of Health and Social Services Gaétan Barrette, as well as Minister of Employment and Social Solidarity and Minister responsible for the Capitale-Nationale region François Blais. Also present were members of the Legislative Assembly Patrick Huot, Raymond Bernier, Caroline Simard and Pierre-Paul Hus, and president of the RAMQ Jacques Cotton.
Minister Barrette spoke to the 260 attendees and highlighted the work done by The Arthritis Society to support people living with rheumatic diseases: “These illnesses affect people in significant ways and change their lives in many respects”.
This impressive event raised a net total of $51,885. Our warmest thanks to the organizing committee chaired by Alain Thibault, Senior Account Manager, Public Sector at Bell Business Markets. Thanks also to our sponsors: BCF Business Law and Mario Welsh, Attorney and Managing Partner for the Québec Office; La Capitale and Jean St-Gelais, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer; Place Sainte-Foy/Laurier Québec/Price Building (Ivanhoé Cambridge) and Donald Larose, Director; Immeubles Roussin; National Bank; Cominar; GDI Integrated Facility Services; Pomerleau; Prestige Groupe média; Ameublements Tanguay and the SAQ.
