A resounding thank you from across the province!
Thank you British Columbia! It was a record-setting year for The Walk to Fight Arthritis, both for funds raised and the number of participants – all thanks to you! Over $1.25 million was raised in over 40 communities across the country! In BC, Walks took place in Vancouver, Trail, Kelowna, Prince George, Parksville and Victoria, and each one was memory-making! There were special guests and meaningful stories told by people in each community, which united everyone in this important cause. This day wouldn't have been possible without the energy and enthusiasm of everyone involved, whether you were a walker, a fundraiser, sponsor or volunteer. Because of your commitment, we are closer to funding a cure, and we are grateful.
Trail had its first-ever Walk to Fight Arthritis this year, and it was largely inspired by a very brave seven year old girl. Her name is Zoe, and for the people in Trail, she is the reason they came out to support this important cause. Because seven year olds aren’t supposed to have arthritis. You can read Zoe’s story here…
