Walk with us June 5th!
Our signature annual event, The Walk to Fight Arthritis, is coming June 5th! This exciting community event is taking place in cities all across Canada with one common goal - to help the over 4.6 million Canadians who live with arthritis every day. There are over 650,000 children and adults in British Columbia alone who are fighting this complex disease, and you can help!
Reaching Out Through Our Innovative Webinar Workshops!
Now we are able to reach out and engage with you, members of our community, in a brand new way! Our workshops are now available via free online webinar! With this innovative development, you can learn more about taking charge of your arthritis from the comfort of your own home, yet still be able to interact and engage with the presenter in real time!
Giving thanks during National Volunteer Week...
We are in the midst of National Volunteer Week, which is taking place across the country from April 10 - 16, 2016. This week is important as it gives us the opportunity to share with all of our amazing volunteers, how much we appreciate you, and that you are truly making a difference in the lives of people living with arthritis. We couldn't do this without you!
2016 Spondyloarthritis Patient Forum is coming up April 30!
The Spondyloarthritis Forum is coming to Vancouver April 30, and we are very pleased to be a presenting partner to this event. We encourage anyone living with AS or PsA and their family members to attend.
It's Make a Will Week!
Did you know that April 10 - 16 is Make a Will Week in British Columbia? It's meant to encourage people to write or update their wills. Surprisingly, only 55% of British Columbians have a signed, legally valid and up to date will. Having a will is the best way to ensure that those you care about most will receive the benefit of your estate.
The cost to prepare a will varies with the complexity of your situation, but estimates are available from a notary or lawyer. The government of British Columbia also provides excellent resources for helping to navigate the process of making a will. It doesn't have to feel overwhelming, and is easier than you may think.
Click here for more information, or contact Liesl at firstname.lastname@example.org or 604.714.5557 if you have any questions we may be able to help you with. We do recommend obtaining the assistance of a professional, as this is always a good idea, especially for something as important as making a will.
