Physiotherapists work both in hospitals and private practice. A doctor's referral is NOT required prior to seeing a physiotherapist in Saskatchewan. The cost of physiotherapy is covered if the services are provided through a hospital. Physiotherapy obtained through private practice may be covered in part by extended Blue Cross and other insurance plans.
