Childhood Arthritis

It is estimated that as many as 24,000 Canadian children aged 18 and under live with a form of arthritis, or more than 3 out of every 1,000 kids. These young people face the debilitating chronic pain of childhood arthritis (CA), robbing them of their childhoods. The Arthritis Society wants to hand back childhood and help these kids enjoy being kids.

The Arthritis Society provides free resources and programs for children living with the disease and their families by increasing knowledge of Juvenile Arthritis and building/fostering supportive relationships among families. With some lifestyle adjustments and effective coping strategies, a JIA diagnosis doesn't mean giving up on a life that is both full and fulfilling.
