How Does Product Testing Work?

Manufacturers wishing to have their products deemed easy to use submit them to an independent research firm associated with Georgia Institute of Technology. Each product is tested in a variety of ways, including a panel of individuals living with arthritis who use the product and comment on its ease of use. Products may also be reviewed by The Arthritis Society's Medical Advisory Committee. If a product receives favourable review, the manufacturer is invited to apply to The Society to be part of the Ease-of-Use program and to use the program logo for those products that have been tested.

The Arthritis Society does not determine the therapeutic value of products classified as "food or drugs" or other arthritis treatment modalities. The Ease-of-Use logo indicates ease of use only and is not intended as a general product endorsement. Participating manufacturers make an annual contribution to The Arthritis Society in support of our mission.
