What can I do to help manage my arthritis pain in my feet?

I am living in Smithers, B.C., where there isn't very much expertise on osteoarthritis. I’m sending in this question in hopes I can get some insight into my condition.

I have severe pain in my feet, particularly the left foot, although the right foot is not too far behind. I also have “Plantar Plate Tear” and am getting a knee replacement this month. My podiatrist sold me orthotics which did help me a bit.

Are there any foods that help with Rheumatoid Arthritis pain?

I have a friend with rheumatoid arthritis, and she is 28 years old and has this condition for 10+ years. Are there any natural or organic/plant based solutions or nutrition tips that you could recommend that would provide her with some pain relief?

What are good exercises to help my osteoarthritis?

I am 52 years old, diagnosed with osteoarthritis 2 years ago.  My arthritis started in my thumbs and I can feel it starting in my knees and hips.

I have recently joined a gym and was wondering if you have any useful resources or tips on where I can get information to help strengthen my muscles and support my joints?
